Congressman Brandon Gill hosted this year's Congressional Art Competition, inviting public, private, and home-schooled high school students residing in and/or attending schools located in the 26th Congressional District of Texas to submit original artwork based upon this year’s theme: “Faith of Our Fathers.” Professional Artist John Kokalis served as the art jurist for this year’s competition and selected the Grand Prize and 1st Place winning artworks.

Grand Prize

The Grand Prize winner is Macie McKie, a senior at Flower Mound High School, for her oil painting “Wisdom and Prayers.” Macie’s artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the upcoming year.

First Place

The 1st Place winner is Selina Feng, a junior at Flower Mound High School, for her oil and acrylic artwork “Generational Freedom.” Selina’s artwork will be displayed in Rep. Gill’s Capitol Hill Office for the upcoming year.

Texas Choice Winner

The Texas Choice Winner, selected by popular vote, is Zoey Bouquio, a junior at Argyle High School, for her artwork “Search Within, Finding Self.” Zoey’s artwork will be displayed in Rep. Gill’s Flower Mound Office for the upcoming year.
