March 11, 2025

Washington, D.C. — The House of Representatives today voted 217 to 213 to pass a freeze on current spending levels and allow President Trump’ to carry out his agenda and implement his promise of mass deportations. This will also empower DOGE to carry out spending cuts and avoid a government shutdown. House Budget Committee member Congressman Brandon Gill (TX-26) voted yes on the CR.

“In a huge win for President Trump’s agenda and for Americans, House Republicans today passed a freeze on current spending levels, avoiding an omnibus, and allowing for Republicans to prioritize President Trump’s one big beautiful reconciliation bill,” said Congressman Gill. “This bill enables Republicans to deliver on the president’s America-first promises, while averting a government shutdown. It further allows President Trump to deport illegal aliens and clean up our southern border, identify and slash government fraud, waste, and abuse, and strengthen the economy. It is time for the Senate to take action and pass President Trump’s bill!”
