Rep. Gill Votes Yes on House Budget Resolution Passage

February 26, 2025

Washington, D.C. — The House of Representatives today voted 217 to 215 to pass a budget resolution to extend President Trump’s tax cuts and advance his agenda, allowing for at least $1.5 trillion in spending reductions. House Budget Committee member Congressman Brandon Gill (TX-26) voted yes on the Budget Resolution.

“House Republicans today showed unity in passing the first step in the budget process towards President Trump’s one big beautiful bill,” said Congressman Gill. “President Trump has already delivered historic results—securing our border, bringing back common sense, lowering the cost of living, and re-establishing American strength. Passing this resolution provides the necessary funding for President Trump to undertake the largest mass deportation campaign in United States history. Thank you to Budget Committee Chairman Arrington for his leadership in getting us here.”
